be an excellent challenge.

Academy and Summer Camps
The Club will be holding three summer camps this year similar to the
one that was held last summer, the dates for these will be:
5th –
8th June
30th July
– 2nd August
20th –

running from 9.30am-3.30pm each day… we are now able to take
bookings for these camps, please contact us at either:

further information regarding these. Each camp will be limited to 30
attendees and will have four coaches on each day.
The Academy will run on Monday nights beginning on Monday 23rd April
and will be managed by Pete Williams, Pete
is the former manager of the Essex County Cricket Club indoor
school, he is an ECB Level 3 coach, and is also qualified to Tutor,
Assess and Verify ECB Coach Education courses (Level 1, 2 and 3), he
is a specialist in Video Analysis, and working with talented young
players. We also hope to use Pete's expertise in mentoring our young
coaches in the near future. A
programme for this camp will be available in the next two to three
weeks, at which point we will be releasing information on how to
take part. The cost of the academy will be £90 for 19 sessions,
there will be a 1 coach to 6 person coaching ratio.
Charity Match
On Saturday 21st April
we will be hosting Colchester & East Essex in two pre-season
friendlies, which will be our final warm up matches. The games are
being held in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. One of the
young Colchester players, Rob George, who some of our members know
from University and Cricket in general, was last year diagnosed with
Leukaemia, but fortunately seems to be making a good recovery, and
the game is being held to support his chosen charity. (For those of
you who are aware of the Shepherd Neame League Administration, you
may be aware that Rob’s father Pip is a League umpire and also the
League Chairman). It would be great to have as much support for this
event as possible, further details will be available nearer the
time.
Sponsors
The Club is always keen to attract new sponsors to help fund
coaching and any events that are being held at the club, we have all
kinds of options available to any one wishing to help the club,
including website adverts, use of our Facebook and Twitter pages for
advertising, advertising boards at the ground, all the way up to
Shirt Sponsorship, if you, or anyone you know would be able to help
in anyway, it would be great to hear from you…. We would always be
willing to discuss a way of tailoring a package to your business’
needs. Prices start from £35 for a Website advert for 12 months
(including a click through link to your website, and an announcement
of Facebook and Twitter if requested)
